TSE International designs and manufactures conductor-handling equipment for use in the construction and maintenance of electrical transmission and distribution lines, and telecommunications/fiber optic projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and assist Paint/Blast department with operations including blasting and paint preparation. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.
Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
Forklift Operation
- Assist supervisors with expediting work through manufacturing process
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials using a forklift or other material moving equipment
- Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into work station
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
- Conduct pre-shift inspection and perform minor maintenance on the forklift
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
- Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance and cleaning as required
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality teamwork
- Properly maintain and paint/blast equipment including power-industrial truck, power washer, sand blasting equipment
Paint Prep
- Power wash equipment to prepare for paint
- Caulks holes and cracks
- Properly maintains personal protective equipment
- Assist with blasting equipment frames and parts as needed
