Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to oversee our welding department and ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of welding techniques, including fabrication. This role requires effective communication with team members and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The Welding Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards while ensuring projects are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of welders/fitters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Oversee the assembly of metal components, ensuring proper fabrication techniques are utilized.
- Conduct regular inspections of welding work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize tools such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements during fabrication processes.
- Train new employees on welding techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Ensure that all welding operations are performed in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welding Supervisor.
- Certified Welder or Certified Welding Inspector
- Strong blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Experience operating cranes and other heavy machinery is preferred.
- Excellent leadership abilities with strong communication skills to effectively manage a team.

- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
